Adelaide

On to Adelaide, after 2 days of sea.

Adelaide turned out to be a really cool place with Gorgeous weather and more amazing beach. We got a taxi to take us on a ride around to see stuff. It’s so much better than a tour: stop when you want, eat where you want. We are definitely not good tour peeps.

You really cannot beat the beaches of Australia. Sparkling white, big sweeps of waves rolling in and big blue skies. They go on for miles and miles. The beaches are part of life and that is reflected by what we saw. We drove out of the center city area and found Adelaide was more laid back and resort-like. Wide bike paths and walking areas off the beach and eating places, bars and hotels. This is a gentle place full of outdoor sculptures, big parks, trees and amenities for families and people wanting to relax and have a nice time. Clean and white and blue are what stick in my mind. Wonderful food – fish being the best thing around.

A re-visit to Adelaide is on the back burner.
